How to choose a foreign exchange platform? 6 key factors (Figure 1)

    1. Security

The first characteristic a good broker must possess is a high degree of security. After all, you wouldn't hand over thousands of dollars to someone who simply claims to be legitimate, would you?

Fortunately, it is not difficult to check the trustworthiness of a Forex broker. There are regulators all over the world that separate the trustworthy from the fraudsters.

Here is a list of some countries and their corresponding regulatory agencies.

    • United States:  National Futures Association (NFA)And the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)
    • United Kingdom: Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority. Financial Conduct Authority (FCAThe Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA)
    • Australia: Australian Securities and Investments Commission. Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
    • Switzerland: Swiss Federal Banking Commission, Swiss Federal Banking Commission (SFBC)
    • Germany: Federal Monetary Authority (BaFIN)
    • France: financial marekt authority (AMF)
    • Canada: Investment Information Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC). Investment Information Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC)

Before considering investing your funds in a broker, make sure that the broker is a member of the aforementioned regulatory body.

    2. Transaction costs

No matter what kind of currency trader you are, whether you like it or not, you will always be affected by transaction costs.

Every time you enter a trade, you will have to pay a spread or commission, so it is natural to look for the most affordable and cheapest price. Sometimes you may need to pay a little more in exchange for a more reliable broker.

Make sure you know if your trading type requires tight spreads, then review your available options. It's all about finding the right balance between security and low transaction costs.

    3. Deposits and withdrawals

A good Forex broker will allow you to deposit funds and withdraw profits without worry.

Brokers really have no reason to make it difficult for you to withdraw profits, because the only reason they hold your funds is to facilitate trading.

Your broker holds your funds only to make trading easier, so you have no reason to make it difficult for you to get the profits you earn. Your broker should ensure that the withdrawal process is fast and smooth.

    4. Trading platform

In Forex trading, most trading activities are conducted through a broker's trading platform. This means that your broker's trading platform must be user-friendly and stable. The most popular Forex trading software currently available isMT4And MT5.

When looking for a broker, be sure to check the services offered by its trading platform.

Does it offer a free news feed? How about easy-to-use technical and charting tools? Does it provide you with all the information you need to trade correctly?

    5. Execution speed

Your broker must execute your order at the best price.

Under normal market conditions (e.g., normal market conditions)liquidityThere is no reason why your broker should not execute at the market price you see when you click the "Buy" or "Sell" button.
For example, assuming you have a stable internet connection, if you click "Buy" EUR/USD with a price of 1.3000, you should trade at that price or within the micro-point range of that price. The speed at which your orders are executed is very important, especially if you are a scalper player.

The price difference of a few points will make it harder for you to win the deal.

    6. Customer service

Forex brokers' Client Server brokers are not perfect, so you must choose a broker that can be easily contacted in the event of a problem.

Brokers' ability to handle account or technical support issues is just as important as their ability to execute trades.

Forex brokers can be friendly and helpful during the account opening process, but "after-sales" support is terrible.
