    Introduction to Export Exchange Cost

Export foreign exchange cost: refers to the RMB cost required for one unit of foreign exchange of a commodity's net export income. If the foreign exchange cost is higher than the bank's quoted price, it means that the export of RMB is a loss. Calculation formula: Export foreign exchange cost = total cost of export goods (RMB)/FOB net export foreign exchange income (US dollars)

The export exchange cost is directly proportional to the total export cost and inversely proportional to the net export foreign exchange income. The export exchange cost is an important indicator to measure the profit and loss of foreign trade enterprises and import and export transactions. Comparing it with the foreign exchange price can directly reflect whether the export of goods is profitable. For example, in an export trade, the calculated export exchange cost is 7.3 yuan. If the foreign exchange price at that time is 1 US dollar minus 8.3 yuan, the export of 1 US dollar of the commodity will make a profit of 1 yuan. Conversely, if the calculated export exchange cost is 9.3 yuan, the export of 1 US dollar of the commodity will result in a loss of 1 yuan.

The cost of exportation reflects the profit and loss of export commodities. It is an important indicator for examining whether export enterprises have economic benefits. Its measurement standard is: the exchange rate of RMB against the US dollar. If the exchange cost is higher than the exchange rate of RMB against the US dollar, the export of the commodity is a loss. Although there is foreign exchange earned, the export itself has no economic benefits. The higher the exchange cost, the greater the loss.

Therefore, in order to avoid losses, it is necessary to accurately measure the cost of foreign exchange. When foreign trade enterprises declare export tax rebates, the tax rebate department will export enterprises export tax rebate declaration data after review system review, there will often be doubts that the cost of exchange is too high or too low. When tax refunds are reviewing and adjusting doubts, there are various reasons for verifying that the cost of exchange is higher than a reasonable upper limit or lower than a reasonable lower limit. Export enterprises or business personnel feel that the cost of exchange calculated by the review system is not exactly the same as the cost of exchange calculated by the export enterprises themselves.

Therefore, tax refunds must truly understand the cost of purchased goods, the expenses incurred, the exchange cost of export tax rebates, the exchange cost of export enterprises, and the foreign exchange price from a financial and business perspective. Only by understanding these basic common sense can we have a correct judgment on the doubts of various situations.
